Functie

For our client, Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics Corporation located on the Brightland Campus in Geleen (The Neterlands) we're looking for a creative engineer with knowledge of properties and processing of polymeric materials with good communication skills and business acumen.

The main target for the AD Engineer is to support new business creation for the engineering plastics product lines of MEP through the generation and application of technical know how.

Focus will be on developing new added value applications in the Electrical & Electronic (E&E) market with a focus on “Power Disitribution” by offering our solutions in engineering plastics at selected OEM’s and Tiers.

The Application Development Engineer has to translate the customer needs, market and technology trends into material, design and functional requirements and to give technical support in general sense to key customers.

Therefore knowledge about properties and processing of polymeric materials combined with experience in/with the relevant market segments is required. Teamwork with various disciplines combined with creativity is the key to success.

Functie-eisen

• A Bachelor or Master in Polymer Science and processing, Mechanical Engineering and/or Chemical Technology is required;
• Specific experience in a technical role related to engineering plastics and know how of the E&E industry, applications, as well as design know-how (CAE) is an advantage.
• Good command of English is necessary, knowledge of German and/or French is beneficial.
• In addition, it is imperative that you have good technical, conceptual as well as overall communication and social skills and are open to cultural diversity.
• In this position, you will have to travel frequently abroad (indicatively 40%), as the business dictates.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the European Union on a full time basis.
• A valid drivers licence
