DEPARTMENT

Manage the SABIC Intercompany Activities for SABIC Internal transactions in EUR region on the Petchem Industries. Responsible to manage the all intercompany activities reconciled and work to achieve working capital opportunity (WCO) as per approved annual plan through efficient internal collection/payment process.

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

To facilitate EUR intercompany end-to-end process for Intercompany centralized operation which provide overall controls on compliance check for intercompany charge from EUR and To EUR to ensure all necessary approval include cost center owner, global tax, GFR&C being obtained before booking the invoice.

To support EUR intercompany financial operation team for the Intercompany reconciliation and follow-ups on the un-reconciled items in time manner to close the gap and modify the current process to mitigate the unreconciliated items.

To follow up aged AR / AP in order to meet team's KPI and ensure aging item being time captured with follow-up action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing daily intercompany AR & AP operation including issue invoice, cash application, payment proposal for all EUR entity intercompany transactions.
  • Review and follow-up with all required supporting document for AR billing requests, and also validate the supporting document at AP side to ensure payment can be proceeded against intercompany billing with full compliance requirement.
  • Review Intercompany Accrual request, and setup track record in order to monitor the accrual items which will be timely cleared. Aged accrual shall be follow-up with user immediately in order to maintain reasonable aging balance for intercompany transactions booked through GL manual posting
  • Responsible for M/Q/Y closing activity for EUR intercompany transactions to ensure all AR/AP being booked through AR/AP sub ledger in time manner and pre-reconcile with counter parties globally.
  • Other ad-hoc activities assigned by management team.
  • Engaging with end-user for documents requirement in order to generate AR billing or booking AP with approved cost center / WBS.
  • Monitoring intercompany AR / AP aging bucket to follow-up with related function to follow-up in order clear aged items.
  • Fully participate EUR intercompany E2E process improvement to time provide feedback to global controllership team for process optimization.
  • Focal person for cross function engagement for intercompany related matters to ensure intercompany operational excellency upon the changing regulations, statutory policy or any others which may impact receivable collections.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor in Commerce or Finance.
  • Knowledge of accounting/financial, SAP experience preferred but not required. Experience in MS Office skills.
  • Detail oriented and strong communication skills with internal and external parties.
  • Minimum 5 years’ solid experience in Finance/Accounting with multi-national companies.
  • Solid knowledge on accounting process for AR and AP recognition.
  • Familiar with EUR regional Control Regulations and related impact on cross country settlement globally.
  • Strong business sense and knowledge in share finance service.
  • Good cross-functional communication skills and Results-oriented and to ensure operational KPI being achieved.
