Global Technology Polyolefin compounds (GT-POC) is part of the Global Technology PP organization within Petrochemicals organization. This global team (~30 people) is responsible for maintaining, developing and growing the Polyolefin Compounds and STAMAX portfolio for the Automotive and New Markets segments.

The PPc & SABIC portfolio has seen a strong growth in recent years thanks to the development of new products, rigor product life cycle management (PLCM) and process optimization. SABIC has a clear ambition to continue this growth of the highly differentiated PP-compound and STAMAX portfolio. The global asset footprint is expanding and new opportunities are present via synergies with ARAMCO assets.

We are currently looking for a product life cycle expert on a global basis to lead quality and technical product management activities for the global PO-Compounds and STAMAX portfolio. This role includes coaching of the Technical Service Engineer (TSE) team to ensure highest quality output in market and manufacturing support, complaint handling and material development. You will work in close collaboration with business management, product developers, manufacturing, MDTS and commercial teams to ensure a state-of-the-art system conformity. The position is located in Europe (Geleen or Sittard) and reports to the Senior Manager, T&I PO Compounds and STAMAX.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The candidate is responsible for leading product life cycle activities within the global PO-compound and STAMAX technology team. You will develop and maintain the systems relevant to realize the technology targets. In this respect, product life cycle knowledge and quality management are key-elements.

The main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the global activities around product life cycle and quality management.
  • Developing of business processes and procedures to ensure standard compliancy.
  • Aligning SABIC management system strategy and the key customer’s system requirements.
  • Organizing and conducting Quality Audits for
    • Internal system audits, Product & Process audits and Supplier audits
    • Second party (Customer) and Third party (certifying body’s).

  • Interacting with key stakeholders (business, manufacturing, commercial, MDTS) to deliver quality agreements (QA/QSV) and documentation (PPAP)
  • Providing Process Documentation and Training to adjacent organizations
  • Acting as reference point for quality issues inside and outside PP automotive.
  • Developing and coordinating content availability, consulting in submission strategy for Part Production Approval Process (PPAP) as required for project closes.
  • Coaching Technical Service Engineer team.
  • Developing of services and tests enabling the technology PPc & STAMAX team to develop new products and to provide material data to obtain additional customer approvals.
  • Securing availability of IT tools (software) to support the PLCM and external service providers processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or a related discipline, IT affinity is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in the field of product life cycle management and/or quality management
  • Excellence in Quality and Management Systems along with sound understanding of Product Design Tools and software.
  • Knowledge of the value chain understanding strategic customer and market requirements concerning management system needs for all business processes.
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box combined with pragmatism.
  • Proven capability to convert ideas/concepts into full-scale realization.
  • Self-driven and proactive with the ability to identify and lead innovative opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate complex (technical) ideas effectively in both technical and commercial environments.
  • Critical observer as well as a conceptual and analytical thinker.
  • Team player being able to drive and operate in cross-functional and global teams.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills, other languages considered an asset
  • Project management skills

Location: Geleen-Sittard-Chemelot, The Netherlands

Travel: 10 - 15% (regionally and globally)
