Global PE Technology supports SABIC’s businesses in realizing its objectives by providing Best-In-Class Technology solutions. Within Technology & Innovation, the PE Technology group is divided in product lines (LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, Elastomers) and in core competences (Process, Product & Catalyst), allowing fast and precise implementation of innovative products, applications, processes and products within SABIC assets worldwide.

The global LDPE Technology division has an opening for a Senior Process Technology Development Engineer LDPE, specialized in design and/or operations of high pressure technologies. She/he will lead key process developments of the proprietary SABIC CTR® technology and support the licensing out projects. This position reports to the Senior Manager Global Technology LDPE.

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Process Technology Development Engineer, you will be working on technology development projects for the LDPE business. Your tasks and responsibilities include:
•  To work in a multidisciplinary and global setting where you will interact and collaborate with different disciplines in business, manufacturing, corporate T&I and marketing to secure project approval, execution and effective implementation.
•  To define, execute and manage innovation projects from its idea conception until successful implementation in the LDPE assets. You have to align goals, set priorities and identify the activities and resources needed to achieve these goals.
•  To improve LDPE production processes benchmarking position in output, quality, consistency and costs.
•  To support SABIC CTR licensees to improve their processes through the execution of Technical Service Agreements
•  To develop and communicate a vision of new developments in LDPE process technologies and capabilities.
•  To understand the LDPE technology developments from competitors, defining the SABIC freedom to operate and to protect SABICs interest by analyzing relevant patent applications
•  Ensure effective interaction and communication across functions on a global basis (EU, US, KSA, CN).
REQUIREMENTS
•  PhD, M.S. or Bachelor degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated operational, process engineering and/or fundamental experience in LDPE process and technologies (>10 years).
•  Demonstrated technology excellence with proven ability of process design, project management and coordination.
•  Proficient in modelling tools for high-pressure processes and their application to industrial production.
•  Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously on a global basis.
•  Proven capability to convert ideas and concepts into actionable plans and full-scale realization.
•  Ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively in both technical and commercial environments.
•  Conceptual and analytical thinker.
•  A high-energy and result oriented personality with the ability to identify and lead innovative opportunities.
•  Team player being able to drive cross-functional and global teams.
•  Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Other languages are a plus.
The preferred working location is SABIC Technology Center in Geleen, Netherlands (located on the Brighland Campus Chemelot). Other locations can be considered on a case specific basis.

The preferred working time is full time. The minimum required working time considered is 80%.
