DEPARTMENT

Sabic Global Procurement - Global Materials Management Department

Reporting To: Manager, Global Materials Management

Global Materials Management is established as part from GPS to support overall SABIC Manufacturing by managing and operating Global MRO inventory and Global unified materials/services master data cataloguing/maintenance. Governance of the global master data and ensure data consistency among SABIC Global sites and increase master data efficiency.

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITES

• Provide support to Global Materials Management Spoke Function.
• Manage and ensure global Master Data Governance and Quality implementations through the development of global Master Data techniques and the application of standards.
• Maintain an effective up-to-date master database to ensure availability of reliable information that meet users’ needs in accordance to the international standards
• Responsible for consistent and effective application of SS Global Procurement Services Policies, guidelines and procedures for master data (suppliers, materials & services) classification, segmentation and recognition.
• Sustain development and improvement to meet customers’ satisfaction processes to deliver effective and efficient services to procurement & customers.
• Manage the time zone and languages implications.
• Act as GMM Business partner. (Focal Point).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure Suppliers are responsive to the sourcing needs and strengthen buyer supplier relationships that translate into lower purchasing cost and reliable sources.
• Ensure compliance with SS Global Procurement policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure continuous development and improvement to meet customers’ satisfaction, Quality requirements, schedules and budgets.
• Plan Function staffing needs and recruitment in accordance with HR guidelines.
• Coach, and direct function’s staff where assistance is required
• Assess skills and knowledge level in order to identify areas of training improvements/ needs (Gap analysis).
• Analyze the performance of existing systems, processes, and people, perform required upgrades, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Continuously look for opportunities to make the function’s processes more efficientand its savings performance more effective.
• Manage the development & enhancement of business system tools to improve quality & efficiency.
• Lead regional GMM improvements / initiatives in coordination with HUB team

Material Master Setup, Maintenance and MRP

• Leverage Inventory Replenishment through Identification of duplicate and common items in coordination with Material Standardization and Warehouse.
• Forecast and Maintain inventory levels using Target Stock Models and volume discount methods to optimize working capital.
• Manage proper fulfillment of Maintenance Parameters with site users in-line with Asset Maintenance Work Processes.
• Maintain all MRP data that triggers the procurement process such as (MRP Types, Re-order points, Max stock levels).
• Maintain the proper delivery time for all materials and set the proper safety stock when needed.
• Execute Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and inventory replenishment proposal to ensure timely and sufficient stock availability.
• Ensure on time delivery of maintenance requirements for normal and turnaround activities.
• Manage optimum utilization of inventory for maintenance requirements, and reduce the late ordering for normal and turnaround activities.
• Process technical evaluation activities related to inventory in coordination with material standardization, procurement and site users.
• Manage and perform replenishments activities for physical count variance adjustments
• Expedite technical evaluations, OSDR, planned orders, purchasing requisitions and purchasing orders delivery to maintain appropriate levels and avoid non-availability of stock materials.
• Minimize occurrence of stock-outs and maintain the proper service level.

Inventory Classification & Working Capital Optimization
• Maintain the working capital MRO KPIs as per the approved business plan for each site.
• Develop and maintain accurate report structure and database to monitor inventory status and performance.
• Ensure maximum usage for urgent deliveries.
• Ensure proper replenishment methods for materials with different consumption patterns or importance.

Business Support Activities
• Implement safety procedures in line with SABIC/AFFILIATES safety guidelines
• Provide initiatives and conduct frequent analysis to seek opportunities for system and process improvement befitting to serve the overall organization objectives.
• Provide and support cross-functional departments with data and information whenever needed (e.g. contractual agreements proposals, statistical analysis, etc).
• Support the External and Internal Auditors by providing required resources and information when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor and/or Master Degree in commercially or industrial oriented discipline e.g. finance, business administration, Industrial Management or related fields, or in Engineering or operations management
• 3 - 5 years' experience in relative job, data management or petrochemicals functions
• Experience in suppliers relations and procurement management
• Knowledgeable with policies, procedures, systems and best practices in the areas of Supply Management and supplier qualifications
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
