The function

The Logistic Specialist reports directly to the manager and supports a business stream by creating and updating relevant reporting data. They provide advanced troubleshooting knowledge and demonstrate best practices to Mercedes-Benz Business Partners worldwide. Key responsibilities include managing cross-functional, international projects, quality and process analysis, and reporting structures. The role focuses on optimizing business processes and procedures to ensure top Quality of Service and Customer Experience. The Logistic Specialist works closely with the manager, operation managers, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet departmental objectives.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Safeguard and enhance knowledge of MBCAC/GLC processes, tools, and systems
  • Create and maintain documentation on knowledge and processes
  • Plan activities efficiently to meet SLAs and deadlines
  • Analyze, monitor, and report quality standards and KPIs to management
  • Deliver high performance in quality, KPIs, and customer experience for multiple markets
  • Support and lead project work packages, managing interdependencies and changes in scope, schedule, and costs
  • Apply a methodological and LEAN approach to problem-solving
  • Proactively identify and signal quality improvements and efficiency gains
  • Manage key account functions for multiple markets and business partners
  • Monitor quality and process adherence, understand customer concerns, and interact with business partners for accurate responses
  • Manage stakeholders effectively with good communication skills
  • Define, draft, and implement change requests in the PRM program
  • Maintain a can-do attitude and contribute ideas and proposals

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Ability to manage complexity under high pressure and stress
  • Strategic, progressive, and solution-oriented thinker
  • Independent worker with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Proactive in developing knowledge and skills
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality of service
  • Experience in project management and process landscape mapping
  • Good business acumen and expertise in the relevant business area
  • Deep knowledge of Aftersales Logistics systems and processes
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Automation knowledge is a plus, but not required
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to professionally communicate complex subjects to senior management
