The role of the Senior Strategic Buyer in Sloughwill manage and support Indirect materials and services spend. This will include the sourcing of goods and services at a number of different sites and will negotiate the supply contracts. This role will also support Operational Buyers to ensure business continuity and supply/availability of indirect materials and services for production and laboratory activities by monitoring and improving supplier performance and by managing supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide purchasing expertise in sourcing goods and services, tendering, tactical negotiation and negotiation of contracts at sites
• Support global & regional sourcing efforts to drive savings target achievements
• Support implementation and execution of global indirect category strategies at site level
• Partner with site stakeholders to understand and support the delivery of current and future business needs
• Ensure business continuity and supply/availability of indirect materials for production and laboratory activities by supporting the site Operational Buyers and managing supplier relationships and performance
• Support the roll-out of new procurement policies, processes and tools

Key requirements:

• Bachelor degree (Business, Economics, Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain)
• English language essential, additional European languages would be an advantage
• Proven experience with Indirect spend with experience in tendering, contract and tactical negotiations
• Regulated industry background experience (Pharmaceutical, Food, Motor or Aerospace industry)
• IT literate in the use of MS Office packages and ERP Software
• SAP experience highly desirable
