We are looking for a Scientist to join our mRNA team in Geleen.

A new innovation group is being created, for mRNA design, IVT, downstream processing. Objective to generate IP and know-how.

The Scientist is a key member of the laboratory team who works on multiple, well defined projects to deliver the high quality execution of experimental work following all safety and quality procedures. You will be responsible for planning and executing standard experiments and with appropriate support, dealing with more complex projects. This is a great opportunity to work closely with Lonza customers presenting progress on project stages, understanding their needs, responding to challenges and delivering the customer experience Lonza are known for globally.

Key responsibilities:

• Close collaboration with principal scientists, senior scientists and senior analytical development associates in the team with focus mRNA
• Setting up and maintenance of Innovation lab facilities
• Support of activities at the mRNA Innovation, Process Development and/or Analytical Development may be requested if justifiable by extreme workloads.
• Actively participates in research and development activities, including performing research, writing of protocols, SOPs, URS, etc reporting research results in writing and verbal presentations.
• Support the development and implementation of the site quality at the mRNA Process development unit.
• May assist with purchasing and stocking of lab consumables and equipment.
• Serve as Proxy to the development units coordinator upon request of the mRNA Process Development leadership.

Key requirements:

B.Sc./M.Sc. Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry

Experience 5-10 years
