We are looking for a QC associate Raw Materials to join Lonza, Geleen. Manufacturing areas, incoming materials and utility supplies and products are all released and approved for use based on QC test results as generated by the QC Associate. QC Associate is responsible for planning and execution of daily quality assays and control activities while ensuring compliance with all existing GMP and safety standards in the area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform quality activities as part of release of incoming goods
  • Material order request
  • Cooperate with Supply Chain for receiving of materials
  • Sampling of materials and testing or request shipments for testing purpose
  • Receive and manage results for successful release of materials
  • Storage of retention samples an maintain inventory
  • Initiation of Quality Events as NC’s, CRF’s and OOS’s
  • Physical rejection of goods

QC Associate Raw Materials is mainly responsible for incoming materials with respect to documentation handling, sampling and release.

Key requirements:

  • The position requires a very precise and responsible working attitude.
  • Intermediate or higher vocational education in chemistry/biotechnology.
  • Preferably experience with GMP and basic knowledge of incoming materials,
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Accuracy, tidiness, self-organized, flexible, attention to detail.
  • Team player.
