The site in Geleen is growing and for our MODA Department in Geleen we are hiring an MES System Admin specialist to work on the upcoming E-log project and for future Track and Trace and EBR projects. E-logs are a prerequisite to EBR, therefore, this is a key role for future digitalization of the Geleen site. The MES System Admin specialist is responsible for implementing and providing operational support for the local Manufacturing Execution System (MODA ES). The incumbent will be involved in the installation, operational qualification and ongoing administration and maintenance of the MES system and its associated peripheries and interfaces. Additionally the incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting system issues and monitoring of the interfaces between the MES system and the applications connected to it, for example, RESCOP and SAP.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the MES system on site from an Operational Technology standpoint; supporting the Site MES Lead and the Global Core Team with activities inherent to the application’s configuration, the shop-floor peripheries installation and the implementation of all required SOPs.
  • Provide operational support for the MES system of the site: level 2 support issues’ troubleshooting in cooperation with the manufacturing department, the Global Core Team and the MES vendor.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces between MES and other systems like SAP/LIMS/RESCOP.
  • Procure, install and configure shop-floor peripheries required to operate the MES application in the clean rooms.
  • Contribute to designing, documenting and implementing infrastructure technology solutions related to Cell and Gene manufacturing while aligning with corporate standards and industry best practices.
  • Maintain the integrity of the MES system, which includes performing routine preventative maintenance (patching, updates, upgrades), periodic performance reviews and ensuring appropriate security standards are followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.?

Key requirements:

  • Minimum:? Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field of study. Experience-based knowledge and understanding are essential to success.
  • Preferred: 5 to 8 years professional experience in IT for manufacturing sites. Previous experience in management of IT applications connected to external systems.
  • GMP environment experience.
  • Experience with a quality management system, raising quality events (especially Change Controls, CAPA’s and deviations) and with a documentation management system, making documents effective in a GMP/GDP environment.
  • Previous exposure to any of the commercial MES systems (Rockwell PharmaSuite, Werum Pas-X, POMS, Emerson Syncade).
  • Preferred: Previous experience in managing shop-floor devices (tablet, barcode scanners, label printers) in a clean-room/sterile environment.
  • Fluency in English
