Junior Validation Engineer

Due to a need to further build and develop the Qualification and Validation Team, Lonza are excited to announce the creation of several new roles to be based at our site in Geleen, including a Junior Validation Engineer. This represents an amazing opportunity for someone with an interest in forging a new career path within Validation to join a diverse and experienced team, where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop new skills while contributing to a vital function within Lonza.

Key responsibilities:

  • Validation activities including but not limited to: Facilities, Utilities, Validation Life Cycle, Execution, Technical Documentation, Process, GAP Analysis, Risk Assessment, among others.
  • Prepare validation documents covering a wide range of various protocols and reports, among others.
  • Execution of IQ, OQ and PQ for equipment, systems and utilities.
  • Write reports of completed validation activities.
  • Support the identification of efficiencies in the validation program approach. Work to apply lessons learned, and stay informed of industry regulatory changes as it applies to equipment / facility validation.
  • Perform assigned Quality Systems activities including Document Management system, Change Control, Non Conformities, and CAPA’s.
  • Writing and/or revising procedures applicable to the Engineering activities.
  • Support the Engineering group to prepare the validation, requalification and maintenance program.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, able to perform in an ever-changing environment.
  • Fast-learner, able to develop skills and knowledge quickly while on the job.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, and self-motivated.
  • Business-level fluency in English; other languages are nice to have but not required.
