Internal Auditor IT (Med-Sr)

Specialist (to be) in IT, IT Security & Operational Technology

Purpose of the position:

You have the ambition to become a full member of the Corporate Global Audit team within ARLANXEO and in particular to plan and perform professional IT audit work at production sites, support functions and global Headquarters. This will necessitate a thorough understanding of business goals and performance objectives to assess associated risks and controls. You support local/site management in maintaining effective systems of risk management and internal control that are in line with corporate and local policies or generally accepted good practice. And give advice to this effect.

Goal:

Internal audit’s main task is to positively influence people’s behavior with regard to managing risk. You have the ability to influence positive change without provoking conflict. A robust audit methodology in place with business objectives and key risks are the main drivers to managing risk. With a good understanding of the 3-lines-of-defense concept and the ability to adapt methodologies you cover both the first and second line of defense in audit work.

Team Corporate Audit:

Based in Geleen the Head of Corporate Audit manages 4 Internal Auditors, specialists in the fields of Data Analytics Auditing, Operational Auditing, Financial Auditing and IT Auditing. Team members have the opportunity to partially work remote.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

• You help embed a culture of risk management by working proactively with corporate, divisional- and local management in the identification, assessment and management of risk. Help them drive improvement through the sharing of good practice.
• Develop interpretations of policies and procedures that are workable for the local businesses and provide sounding to management, as needed, to help define what is appropriate. Provide counsel and guidance to local management in determining the appropriate approach to resolving any internal control issues.
• Work proactively alongside management on major projects and deliver risk and control advice in real-time so that management is able to make timely adjustments. Ensure that (investment) projects are driven by a sound business case and that the benefits described in the business case are monitored and achieved.

Assist in the development of an annual risk based audit plan, specifically in relation to IT:

• Apply professional risk-management and auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate systems, processes and controls within the divisions (COSO/COBIT/ISO 27001/NIST/IEC 62443/NERC CIP).
• Report regularly on progress to local management and Head of Corporate Audit.
• Manage internal audit resource, those provided through an external sourcing management and (guest) auditors from within ARLANXEO and the Shareholder.
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports to ARLANXEO Board and Audit Committee.
• Be able to complete the annual audit plan, within an agreed time budget, manage and prioritize own work and at the same time demonstrate flexibility to be able to handle ad-hoc internal audit tasks and re-prioritize other work accordingly.

You master English fluently verbal and written and have the ability to travel on a frequent basis (25%). Above all you are eager to learn.
