Are you an expert in the area of Static Equipment?

As an inspection & integrity Engineer, you ensure that the inspections of the static equipment are legally compliant, you are responsible for maximisation of the Overall Asset Effectiveness (OAE)/ reliability

and implement long term equipment strategies. On top of that you make sure that integrity of these equipments is perfectly covered.

Your main focus will be assigned to the following tasks:

• You take the lead in co-ordinating inspections of static equipment in our plants in Geleen, ie organising, leading, steering in execution (also 3rd parties), decision making all in conformity with Borealis procedures and (HSE)guidelines.
• As an expert in your area, you provide advise to internal (PA & T management Team, Technical Development & Engineering, production untis)- and external (suppliers, contracting companies) stakeholders.
• Carying the “field” close to your heart, you will also perform own inspections when it comes to specific requirements with a bigger/specialised scope.
• You maintain an overview of all static equipment & inspections and define strategy both on short and longer term, on top of that you are responsible for defining action plans, steering execution and follow up.
• You are the main Borealis contact when it comes to inspection & integrity for both existing and new equipment.
• Build and maintain good relations with internal employees and external parties and participate in several audits
  
  About you.

What are our must haves?

• HBO technics, peferably Mechnical Engineering (Werktuigbouwkunde)
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a (petro-)chemical or nuclear industry
• You master Dutch and English on a professional level
• You own an “Inspectie- en Keuringsdeskundig Level 3”-certificate (I&K3)
• 
  
  Experience with “Non Destructive Testing” (NDO) methods Excellent organisation and social skills in an international & multi-cultural environment
• Analytical thinking
• Ability to manage/motivate/steer your stakeholders

Any nice to haves of this list would be an extra asset

• Experience in working with SAP
• An International Welding Engineering certificate
• Ambition to grow in this role and develop your people skills/expertise
