As a test manager you do the following

At Boels we are growing at an enormous pace. For this reason we are in need of a test manager who assists our approximately 200 IT colleagues (internal and external) in continuously improving the way we undertake the testing of our software development.

You will be joining the change enablement department who’s task it is to deliver change in the best way possible. At Boels we realise change via the SAFe Framework. In this function you will assist the development teams in increasing the level of testing. You introduce testing methodologies and techniques. You look for uniformed ways of testing and recording of the test evidence. You look how we can further automate our test management so we spent our time as efficiently as possible.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the testing efforts within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, ensuring adherence to established test processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test strategies and plans.
• Provide guidance and support to the testing team, including test analysts and automation engineers, ensuring effective test execution and defect management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain test environments, including cloud infrastructure and on-premise systems.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies, tools, and technologies, and recommend their adoption to enhance testing capabilities.

You are part of the change office team and you report to the head of change management.

Do you want to be successful as test manager at Boels?

Then you bring the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, information systems, computer science or a related field
• At least 5 years’ experience in quality assurance or software testing (including experience in leading test teams and/or managing testing projects)
• Certifications: e.g. International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), Certified Tester, Certified Software Quality Engineer (from the American Society for Quality, ASQ)
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages and testing tools and technologies
• Experience with project management / SAFe change framework
