The Strategic Buyer is owner of the Uptime’s Supplier conditions. You negotiate prices at these suppliers to get better conditions: parts availability, shorter lead times, cost reduction (parts price and shipping) and exploit the benefit of scale for the company. You set targets to reduce costs with these supplier and negotiates year revenue bonusses. You monitor supplier performance management and addresses improvements to the suppliers. An important role as well is monitoring and checking price changes throughout the year with our OEM suppliers for spare parts. In case of deviation, he collaborates directly with Procurement to give them input on price developments and helps to reduce increases and or pricing there as well.

Your main tasks will be:

• Negotiating prices and business rules with Uptime Suppliers
• Creating, discussing and closing Sparepart contracts with Uptime Suppliers.
• Analyses new price files or increases by suppliers and gives input to Procurement when new prices are provided or increases are send with a goal to manage these costs and conditions at the OEM
• Working together with procurement to manage spare parts costs for the organisation.

For this role you need to be in the office in Sittard at least 2 days a week.

What you bring:

• At least a Bachelor's degree;
• At least 5 years of experience;
• Experience in purchasing environment;
• Experience in supplier management and agreements or contracting is n advantage;
• Procurement experience.
