There is not a better time to step in! Our organization including the Indirect Sourcing team (where the position of Procurement officer is part of) is in the middle of a transition! At this moment each department within Boels Rental is doing the indirect procurement themselves but this is going to change. In the future all indirect procurement will go via the Indirect Sourcing team. Which means that our team will be in the lead of all indirect procurement activities. This means that we have to establish policies, frameworks and processes to ensure an efficient way of working. For you this means that you are concerned with the optimization of (internal) services, but also with the reduction of costs. You oversee and check data quality in relation to our own processes and ensure subsequent (IT) Support. Next to this you ensure cross-departmental (or decentralized) working methods through sharing and documenting best practices and standards.
Other daily tasks:
- Structuring, maintaining and uploading data in main systems, e.g. SAP and Contract Management System;
- Maintaining (and establishing when needed) contacts with internal customers, as well as suppliers;
- Supporting on RFI/RFP sourcing events;
- Handling operational procurement activities such as:
- Creating and checking purchase requisitions, purchase orders and invoices, and subsequently ensures that the agreements made with external suppliers are adhered to
- Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office
- Answering phone calls and e-mails, scheduling meetings and supporting visitors
- Checking invoices and the general mailbox

What do you bring to the table?
- A Bachelor education in a supply chain or financial direction or relevant working experience;
- At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an international environment with a focus on administration or procurement;
- Excellent language skills in English and Dutch (German is a plus);
- Excellent command of MS-Office programs;
- Experienced in the use of SAP is a plus;
- You are ok with some occasional travelling.
