Chemical Engineer for Process Development @ AnQore

The position

As a research and development engineer you will be part of the team Projects & Technology. You will be responsible for (expert) contribution to R&D and Technology projects:

• Delivery of solutions for problems
• Delivery of technological knowledge to improve safety, health, environment and quality by searching the right input, by monitoring plant data, by executing technology activities as defined in the project plan and by identifying (potential) bottlenecks
• Indicate solutions to keep developments and production going on within the defined constraints and in compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures
• Be aware of and act on opportunities or threats in Intellectual Property
• Deliver, develop and monitor business projects and research by using scientific and technologic knowledge

This position is ideal for a first or second step in a career. You will be reporting to the RD&T manager.

The Challenge

In particular in the improvement, expansion and renewal of the acrylonitrile manufacturing process we face a number of R&D challenges. You are invited to contribute successfully to meet these challenges. Through R&D, by generating and developing new ideas and proposals for existing and future technology, you will contribute to the business in multi-disciplinary teams. Your work will be based on a broad scientific base. You will be stimulated and coached to develop yourself in the scientific projects, as well as on your personal skills like entrepreneurship, communication and leadership.

The ideal

• An academic education in chemical engineering, knowledge of organic chemistry
• Affinity for chemical process technology and process development
• The ability to cooperate in multi-disciplinary teams (technology, chemistry, analysis, R&D, universities, manufacturing, and marketing)
• An enthusiastic, creative, entrepreneurial, and result oriented personality with team spirit, capable in keeping the balance between short-term solutions and long-term improvements
